26 Oct Are You Lacking Libido?
Are you a male lacking sex drive? Even worse are you below the age of 30?
If this is you there a things you need to put in place straight away to make sure you keep producing testosterone and keep your man features.People have become precious in this day and age and with that comes a certain ease of life. We have information available at the tap of our screens, food available in packets and the need for a life/sexual partner comes through the apps on our devices.
A lot of what we’re meant to do as humans has been stripped away from us in this ‘efficient world’. Unfortunately, with that goes our manly hood or more so the hormones to produce the manly hood. We’re not saying you have to be the top dog of all men, however if you’re waking up tired, no longer have a sex drive, lacking confidence, energy, strength or daily motivation, there maybe an underlying factor cutting you short of your true potential.
A young active male training 3+ times a week and eating healthy should be producing testosterone, right? Sorry but this isn’t always the case. It’s important you’re eating the right foods. If you’re restricting your diet of certain macronutrients, or of food in general you can do some serious damage. It’s seen quite often in body builders post competition phase where they have depleted the body to the stage of exhaustion. Ever notice how short tempered they can be? Or how they ‘blow out’ with excess body fat straight after a comp? This can all be due to hormone deficiency or malfunction.
The other sign of lack of testosterone can come through a lack of results. Now be real with yourself, you have to be training hard consistently and eating healthy to get results. Don’t say you’ve had a plateau whilst sitting on the couch. However, if you’ve been trying hard and not getting any return you should re-assess what you’re doing.
So if you suffer from the above symptoms, you need to implement some new habits quick smart.
Eat macronutrient balanced meals. At every meal and snack you need to introduce protein, carbohydrates and fats. You should be eating a palm size of proteins, a thumb size of fats and a huge handful of vegetables. Doing this will give your body sufficient fuel and rebalance your hormones. Still unsure of how much to eat? We offer personalised meal plans catered to your goals to help you achieve a healthy, functioning and great looking body, see more here…
Lift some weight. Work hard in the gym. If you’re doing a set of 10 reps, take a weight that gets tough at rep 8 and learn to push through some pain. Change up your training regularly with new implements, movements and add different set and rep ranges. Need more help? Get yourself to your closest CrossFit, powerlifting, weightlifting or strongman gym. Can’t afford a gym or you just need a program for the gym you’re already at? We offer online training programs here…
Make sleep a priority at night. Set an alarm to get into bed and put your phone down. We’re infected by our screens in this day and age. Set your room up to be as dark as possible. Don’t have black out curtains? Use towels and sheets and block out the light as best you can. Make your room slightly cooler, like a cave. Still having trouble sleeping? Learn how to meditate. This will calm your mind and body and hopefully prep you for a good nights sleep.
You don’t need testosterone boosters or any crazy drugs to get you back on track. Just a change of mindset and a new lifestyle direction. Remember, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different outcome.
