27 Apr #67 – Oliver Wilson – Psychology & Mindset, Ketogenic Diet and Raising Cognitive Function and Awareness!
This Week we interview Oliver Wilson. Ollie works for CrossFit Head Quarters on the Level 1 and 2 Seminar Team. As part of the team he’s been fortunate enough to travel the world coaching people how to be a better CrossFit Trainer!
Ollie’s in his final year at University and is studying Psychology. He’s currently working on his thesis in which he asks the question ‘Are podcasts an effective way of learning when you’re doing something else?’ He explains how after listening to a podcast whilst folding clothes one day, he got to the end of the episode and realised he hadn’t retained all of the information.
Ollie has been playing with a keto diet for the last 6 weeks and talks about the adaptability and performance enhancements he’s found whilst following this protocol.
We talk from playing in bands, becoming a better coach through feedback, depression and anxiety, PTSD and the possible link to brain trauma, DMT and Ayahuasca trips, to having personal awareness and much more!
